About you:

1.  Introduce yourself (name, age, sex, location etc)

Heya
I'm Marc, 27 from snowy Switzerland!

Right now, I'm on a bit of a hiatus after working as a district nurse for a few years, intending to start with a higher education school in nursing coming this autumn. I don't really have.. Lots of hobbies, playing a lot of League of Legends where I peaked at Masters and am usually hovering somewhere on mid diamond level (if that rings a bell to anyone), I intend to learn the Piano during my off time and started going to the gym a bit more.. That pretty much sums it up :>.

2.  Can you attend at least 75% of our raids? (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday: 20:30 - 00:00 [Server Time])

Whilst I was working I managed to attent pretty much 100% of the raids for several weeks / months, so I guess it shouldn't be an issue. I might go back to working as a district nurse where shifts are a bit weird, but I doubt it influences my attendance too much.

3.  Will you be on time (invites start at 20:15) and prepared for the raids you attend?

Punctuality is in my heritage - there COULD be an evening where I have to work until 20.30 or smth, but that'd obviously be announced prior to the raid.

4.  When is your normal play time?

I'm more of an evening / night person. Right now it's pretty much whenever. When I'm working again it's usually an hour or two in the afternoon and then again in the evening until past midnight.

5.  Do you have good English skills? Both written and spoken?

I've been chatting in English on a daily basis for the last few years, gotten rid of a few bad habits since then and have managed to improve my vocabulary.

6.  Do you have, or would you be willing to get Discord?

Already got it and online 24/7.

7.  Do you have a working microphone that you're willing to use when needed?

Yes, albeit during raids I'm not much of a talker.

8.  Do you know anyone within the guild who can support your application? If not, how did you come to hear about us?

Xafaeri, who's just applying with me has been asked by Sam to join, so I don't know anyone directly :P

About WoW:

1.  Introduce your character (name, race, class, spec, etc)

Yeah.. Uh.. The thing is my character doesn't necessarily.. Exist yet. I'm quite quick at gearing up and grinding Pugs / M+ for my gear.

I'd apply as a RDPS as that's what you need and Xafaeri will be covering the healing part, personally I'd probably prefer (Destro) WL, but I'd be down to play anything and have some experiences on any of the ones on your website.

If you If you're curious about what I'd call my main, that'd be my dwarfen holy paladin Merah on Ravencrest

2.  Please provide a link to your armoury profile and if possible a link to any web stats that feature you.

https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-gb/character/ravencrest/merah Sorry for not having mogged pants

3.  Please explain the choices you made regarding optimising your character (e.g. stat balancing, gems/enchants etc).

Aiming to get to 50% crit because of holy shock to get procs for stronger flash of light / holy light and Mastery afterwards because Lightbringer is strong when used properly :P I also used the Paladin Discord + spreadsheets to optimize my character further regarding neck enchants etc

4.  What rotation or prioritisation of abilities do you use, and why?

Oh god, been a while since I've played WoW, don't judge me if I'm missing something :P

The obvious being having both Beacons up with the proper talent setup for most encounters

I tried to use my Judgement pretty much on CD because of the healing talent + my legendary for increased healing after using it, preferably using Holy Shock & Light of Dawn (Sea Star ftw) in the buff window if possible. Tried not to waste any procs from Holy Shock by always following up with a flash of light or if nobody was in immediate danger / I was a bit low on mana with a Holy Light.

I used to struggle a bit with Bestow Faith, partially because whilst I was learning Holy Paladin I was undergeared and our raid progress was pretty bad, meaning there wasn't much damage to be healed to make it not overheal for 95% per encounter :P Getting into mythic / then progress heroic encounters later on made it easier to use and with experience came a knowledge for timing it properly to heal someone almost instantly after a burst of damage.

Generally, when I was raiding my co healers were a bit thick. Our Restoration druid did have a 50% uptime on lifebloom on tanks and even less uptime on Rejuv for them, our Mistweaver had a similiar tank allergy, hence I was always on edge to swap to tanks to purely heal them when they received lots of damage, which is suboptimal for holy paladins but definitely necessary depending on the situation :).

5.  What guilds have you been in? Why did you leave?

Elysium has been my first guild on a German Server, we did get a few serverfirstkills during TBC together and I left during Naxxramas due to me having to do military service
I came back to create my own raidgroup during the crusader / ICC raids, which was a group that operated using a custom channel rather than being a guild. I've been leading to the 25 man versions of the raid, both normal and heroic. This died due to Blizzard giving 10 and 25 man raid the same lockout ID, leading to many people having to raid with their respective guilds.
Haven't done anything during MOP as the expansion didn't really appeal to me and I didn't really have a guild to be in.
During Cataclysm I've been in a group of friends for 10 man heroics, which was more casual. Don't remember the guildname or anything though, but at least we killed Deathwing heroic before the patch :P
Since I've been in a relationship with Xafaeri I've been raiding with her during the Hellfire Citadel, where we were in a raiding guild (Again, forgot the name) that seemed all but in harmony and had a lot of pointless mistakes they've started  to blame on the healers (despite standing in shit and dying ;P) so we've left after 3 mythic boss kills.

I've mostly been casually raiding / pugging this expansion and decided to join Kin@Ravencrest just a few weeks prior to Antorus, they helped us to gear up with ToS where we hit 5 bosses on mythic, which was also the guilds own progress as far as I remember. After that I've been progressing with the guild throughout Antorus, up to 2 bosses on mythic. Xafaeri had personal issues at the time and I personally lost interest with the guild because there was a dissonance between my perspective of healing as a team and theirs.

6.  Do you have any alts or experience of other classes?

Oh boi, at least I couldn't create any character without deleting an old one, but I've got lots of low level stuff too.

110:
Warrior - Arms
Mage - Frost
Paladin - Holy / Ret
Druid - Resto / Boomkin
DK - Blood
Shaman - Resto / Enhancer
2 Priests - Shadow / Holy

100-109
Demon Hunter - Havoc
Monk - MW
Rogue - Assassination
WL - Demonology
2 Shamans Resto / Ele

7.  Please list what raid experience you have gained with other guilds:-

I've started playing with the release of TK / SSC, been raiding every raid as at least a pug apart from MoP raids, in terms of difficulty / progress raiding, my highlights were probably: BT, MH, Sunwell, Ulduar, ICC, Firelands, Dragon Soul, Hellfire Citadel and Antorus

Finally:

1.  Why do you wish to join Indecisive?

I intend to join with my girlfriend of three years, who has been asked by one of your guildmembers who has apparently been around for years. I like to give myself a challenge in WoW again after I enjoyed progress raiding with Kin.

2.  What can you offer to this guild? Are we a good fit for you?

I'm a pretty calm person overall, but I can speak up if I see a way of improving things. I'm focussed on fixing mistakes I've made (i.E. dodging stuff at coven of Shivarra). If things don't work out for the group for any given encounter I dig deeper to find mistakes and potentially new strategies. During our mythic raid progress on the Antoran High Command, after several not even close attempts I've looked up different progress videos from Method etc, compared logs and took our Raidlead to the side to show him a better strategy, which has been working loads better for our group.

I know the classes that I play and I'm playing a lot to learn the ins and outs of encounter specific strategies. Hell in the first week of Antorus me and Xafaeri pugged the shit out of normal and heroic, doing bosses over and over despite having an ID on it just to learn the mechanics faster and get better at our classes.

3.  Do you have any questions for us?

What do you want me to play? :S

I mean I could seriously see me playing any of the roles you need. I think it'd be best to discuss this on Discord if you're planning on taking me on board. To give you a perspective though, I haven't played Holy Paladin since TBC, yet I joined Kin and I wasn't happy with my performance early on (Having no gear didn't help), yet I'd say my logs ended up being pretty decent https://gyazo.com/f1736e906b2dc76938ae987523e87de0

Greetings Marc!

We are happy to give you a trial with us. I heard Elemental Shaman, yeah? Cool. Let's do that! Whisper myself, Toazt, Kayara, Navi or Essari for an invite to the guild!

Best regards!
